Behind the Beef relies on participating venues- such as grocery retailers and fairs/exhibitions- to provide the location for delivery of the program. These venues are essential in order to reach consumers in a familiar and convenient location.

Beef Educators are hired to deliver the Behind the Beef program. Educators are enthusiastic, knowledgeable individuals with an interest in the beef industry, healthfulness & nutrition, and sharing information with consumers. Beef Educators typically have a background in either agriculture and/or meat sales, and have excellent public speaking skills. All Beef Educators attend a mandatory two-day Beef 101 training course that informs them on topics such as: • Beef industry practices • Common consumer questions • Nutritional value of beef • Cuts of beef & cooking methods
